DUBAI : FIRST DAY IN DUBAI

According to an article there are almost 15 incredibly extravagant things that make Dubai so special beating the rest in the world, apart from seeing a tiger taken for a ride in the road and spotting some Lamborghini or Bentley or Ferrari police cars chasing the speeders while driving on a highway, out of the 15 mentioned i have checked off most of it from my bucket list based on my own experience traveling to Dubai this time, which is my second time stepping into the land of desert ( it was only a 24-hour stopover from a transit flight and i didn't get to explore much around the city ). And here, I'm back!

And here again, i'm with EMIRATES! Yay! 10 hours flight also no problem la because they have tons of movies available to kill the longest flight time.

Struggling too much whether or not to watch the Annabelle.

And guess what?
The whole trip ( almost 1 week ) = less than RM2.5. geng not?

Btw,
There's a bunch of people to thank for making this duo leisure trip happen in just a few weeks time,

Nikita Sia - Thanks for the flight ticket and the detailed plan of journey in your, er herm...second home !
Lulu Loo - Thanks for the entire trip arrangement including the slot for Abu Dhabi, you're one awesome planner as always.
Arri - Thanks for the flexibility with my schedule i'll bring you back the things you've always wanted me to buy whenever i travel.
And of course, Shangri-La ! Thank you for the luxury stay when i'm always struggle with something on budget.

Went to Nikki's place for a nap because it was too early for the check in. We then ordered some local foods delivery and had a lot of fun cooking 'rice' in her apartment. Lol i can never forget the way you sneak us in the crew shuttle we have to act like one of them carrying your uniforms that you just collected from the building. That certainly saves a lot of money finding the transportation to reach back your silicon apartment. Thanks babe.

Her apartment. Even bigger than my own house mann.
Iphone camera is not working properly, sorry for the blur-ness.

I have tons of Burj photos to post and to avoid making this post a super long one,

Dream comes true

There’s certainly something about this building that makes me quickly fall in love with since I was a little girl. No city ( I ve been so far ) beats the great city of Sydney. The heat feels absolutely suffocating to the extent of discomfort that forces us to seek shade so this day I threw on this pinkish rose breezy sweater with my ripped denim shorts – my forever favorite matching for it’s simple casual unique way that never gone out of style.

That signature puckered lips just to make my face looks slimmer ( that's the trick ! )

One not-so-artistic photo

This time away to actually sit and watch the tree branches dancing with the leaves, moving swiftly as the cold wind blowing despite the heat that's too much too bear.

Learn how to take time for little things.
Not the most vibrant time of year to visit, but overall it was fanta-bulous, at least for a weekend i didn't have to care about anything except all beautiful things that come into sight.

Pancake Craving

Go for one heavy supper in this windy chilling night when most of the pubs and restaurants already closed. All thanks to Pancake on the rocks which opens 24/7 that sits just right at the corner to satisfy our pancake cravings. The lighting in this small restaurant is extremely dim they might need to add more or change the light bulbs otherwise everything is marvelous. Cozy place to chill, and this place has a music all it’s own with fantastical decoration, services, ambience as a whole, concept and the overall setup around this small room is just too wow-some.

Best Recommended - Pancakes On the Rocks

Scrumptious food

Everything is being served in such big portion my tummy is like filled with 1000000grams of iron after eating.

Cumberland Street, The Rocks

First thing to do is to look for some foods when stomach is growling in response right after we touched down into another beautiful city of the world. The heat of the day was kinda bad and it was way worse as we stepped out the room into the sun and on the few foot steps away we literally broke into a sweat. We were then welcomed by gentle blowing wind and it blew colder with the sparkling sunlight shining down on this beautiful Saturday.

Cumberland street, The Rocks

We ordered one of those and started on our food with relish.

One rowdy atmosphere in the market.

Me and the girl resting in one of the shops that sits alongside the street
We had two best selling macarons, ham and cheese roll, and the best hot chocolate i've ever tasted by this far.

As the pale moon shining over the quiet street in the late night, someone wrapped her coat so tightly around herself and stood there right infront those skeleton of trees, with her head hooded and bowed, after a while only to find out the corner of the lips moving slightly upward followed by the laugh that creates one creepy echos with the waves and reflection of sound from the building. If you've been following my instagram you probably know what am i trying to describe at here. Now, this building is officially named as " a creepy house in the rocks ".

Above the pounding of your heart with the relentless wind howling around the street, there's a sound of footsteps...........

Right behind you.

One day in Black town

I am not gonna put much words in this post because I'm just feeling extremely lazy to think and write.

The double decker train that brings us to one point from another. Exactly one hour journey from wynyard to black town followed by few minutes bus ride before we reach. I fell asleep so quickly at my window seat with the sunlight came in through the window beaming down on the face.

Went to the featherdale wildlife park and I'll update all the high quality photos from camera real soon in another post ( i don't want to go through all the hassle posting everything using my phone ).

One of the pictures we took during the visit. He got caught red handed of stealing.

Take some photos while waiting for the bus to arrive.

Cathedral is one of the must-visit-places whenever I go.
"Thing has to fall apart to make ways for better things." I'm constantly reminded of this.

The sky is getting dark and weather is getting so cold when the time is approaching 5 in this evening.

Walking around hunting for foods in this evening. Yes, I'm wearing my short pants and regretting it right after.

Pizza to satisfy our cravings! Awesome food, awesome night.

The inner sorrow

The fireworks in Darling Harbour

It brings back memories of UK the moment I walk on the rowdy street ordering some foods and tuck away the whole piece with a sip of hot chocolate under the hot sun of this summer. It makes me missing something even more as the cold wind blowing through my hair. Somehow the freezing temperature isn't helping much in freezing my mind stopping the past memories flooding in. We went to the darling harbour by ferry to enjoy the weekend fireworks in this evening. For some reason the fish and chips makes the pain way even worse. The more determined i am to reach the finish line, the harder it forces me to stay stuck at the starting point.

One creepy photo of mine to end the night.

Serenity Farm

One escape from city,
To feel the cold summer breeze,
A long hour drive,
Sitting in the car,
Side by side,
And that's the same radio song,
That never cease to make me smile.

Wandering around the farm,
From imaginery to real,
The meaningful silence, wind whirling,
Breathing, singing,
Dancing and laughing,
Oh was that the peacefulness,
I was all the while dreaming with?

As i watch the cows eating grass,
All warm i feel right inside, somehow.
The green grass and cold blue sky,
This other side of paradise,
Please stop fading in time.
A place i really wish to stay,
For the rest of my life.

Such a beauty natural scenery,
That feeling of peace and serenity,
A remedy to temporal relief,
As the wind begin to sing,
Only to realize,
How simple,
And beautiful a life can literally be.
