SHEIKH ZAYED GRAND MOSQUE
****
It's around midnight and i can't wait any longer breaking the sequence ( pictures of Dubai leave it till i fly back home ) writing this down just to show you the place i visited this evening OMG there's a whole bunch of photos to show later in this post. I'll cut the crap and go into the main part to show all the pictures i took with my camera. It was such a surreal experience i really don't know how to describe this entire amazing mind blowing structures, it just, fk incredible and unbelievable go google it yourself if you're interested to know more about this place. Not only we had the rare opportunity to visit Abu Dhabi ( it's just two of us and we took a 2-hour bus to travel from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and the bus fare was only about 25 Dhs each way or cheaper i don't really remember ) and also we were given the best room facing to the world's largest grand mosque the moment we checked into Shangri-La. It rained a little bit in AD early this morning and the weather was slightly colder that we needed some extra layers just to keep us warmer during the visit. I call it the white mosque when the locals call it the Grand Mosque ( so me super confused ) but the actual name of it is quite long - Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, ( which is the reason why we are here in AD ) and this is the main place for worship in UAE and it's located in the capital of UAE - Abu Dhabi, it saves us a lot of hassle to reach because the mosque is just 10 minutes away from my hotel and best part, the shuttle bus is FREE!
It was a cold gloomy afternoon and we were soon welcomed by the drizzling rain but thankfully it lasted for only 10 minutes and it got much colder than before forcing us to pull out another jacket from the bag. All visitors will have to be in appropriate dress especially women ( must cover themselves including their hair before they enter ) otherwise you will get stopped (or worst ask you to leave) by those security guards that are super good in hiding at each and every corner of the building just to make sure people are properly attired and NOT posing anything for the pictures. Damn pekchek when we were asked a few times to show and delete those photos with their own definition of 'disrespectful poses'. ( A picture of me squatting or putting my hands up also cannot ).
Yes, Noted! Just can't wait to rent the attire and wear it like one of the locals!
All original pictures without editing. Told you, the sky was damn dark already the moment we reached. Strong wind, cold weather, then a bit of rain but all good after that.
Me posing at the main entrance
