Vendome Hotel Review

One of the convenient hotels in Taipei i would recommend you to stay is Vendome hotel. It's not like they are owning the whole building for their business but it takes up a few floors for different sections: Front desk and dining area are on the 12th floor and my room is located on the highest floor (14th) of the building. The hotel rooms are only occupying half of the different floor (e.g we are sharing the same floor with another mini library that operates 24 hours). Something new to me but safety wise, there is a big black steel entry door that requires you to scan your card before you enter. Once you push the steel door through you will then see a maximum number of 5 rooms inside and yours will be one of them.

Location: Very convenient as it only takes us about 5 minutes walk from hotel to the nearest train station. (Zhong Xiao Dun Hua, 忠孝敦化站). Most of the tourist attractions are reachable by train. Starbucks and the night club are just located at the ground floor and you can take a stroll anytime to the nearby shops and restaurants downstairs, one of the areas that never sleeps. This is the best selling point of the hotel. Adidas, Starbucks, clothes(cheap!), shoes(cheap!), foods, convenience stores etc. Don't worry about starving as you can find a lot of interesting restaurants and cafes nearby. (Just located at the side of the building).

Airport: Walk to the station and take a train to Zhong Xiao Fu Xin 忠孝復興站 ( just one station away from Zhong Xiao Dun Hua 忠孝敦化站) and remember to take the FIRST exit. You just have to pay NTD150 per person before you board on the bus which takes you directly to the Airport (about one hour journey).

Price: Room rates are reasonable and breakfast is included.(Only a few choices and the dining area is incredibly small so you have to eat and go otherwise people will be lining up for breakfast). Standard room costing about (NTD1500) RM150++ per night and a superior room is about (NTD2000)  RM200++ per night.

Room: Very clean, stylish with modern interiors. A nice stay with all the necessary amenities e.g minibar (foods and drinks in the minibar are free of charge and they replenish it everyday for guests), toothbrush, comb, coffee and tea making facilities, hairdryer.
Friendly reminder:
Because there's some KTVs located at 11th floor or lower to make sure you have a better sleep you can request for a higher floor room to avoid all the unpleasant experience. Flat screen TV and free wifi are available in each room too.

Shower gel, Shampoo, Razor, Cotton buds, Conditioner, Lotion, Comb 

(Replenish everyday)

Staff: Hotel staff are friendly and they can speak english too. Check in process was very fast but the only funny part is that i was asked not to flush the toilet paper into the toilet bowl.


Just keep your expectation low because this isn't any four or five star hotel. It just caters to budget travelers who look for a comfortable place to sleep and a convenient place to shop and go around.
