My sprained ankle

Another few more days to fly again and god must be kidding me by giving me such a big gift on this day.

Just an advice :
Do not play with your phone when you're walking especially walking down the stairs.

I fell off the stairs yesterday morning when i was on my way to work and i thought the pain was temporary as it lasted only a few minutes before i continued walking like normal. During the few hours working i felt the minor pain in my ankle and it was like kept going on and off lasted for a few seconds and then it came back.I started to worry as every movement i made increases the pain i felt since afternoon.

I went to the second floor clinic for a visit and i was given some pills and a cream to apply, saying that it wasn't anything bad just a normal minor injury that will heal itself within a day or two.

Soon the evening came, as i rose from my place to get some foods to eat, my left foot rebelliously stopping me from walking, all i can do was just hobbling around seeking for assistance putting the entire strength onto my right foot supporting the body balance. I knew thing was gonna be more serious if i don't look into the matter seriously.

Two years ago i had the same incident and it was after a week when my ankle became extremely dark (no blood circulation) and swollen ( imagine the pain i felt each day), that was when i can't even stand or walk at all. I went to the hospital to get X-Ray and i was told that the ankle sprain causing the bone fracture and tore few ligaments and veins in my ankle. I didn't know it was severely injured until he told me this. Ended up wrapping my foot and walk with crutches for two weeks and it took about a month to fully recover.

*I still can remember clearly that day when i was having my last paper in college and given the priority to enter the hall before the other candidates. Feel like a boss man.

That's what happened to me two years ago. So i'm kinda worried this time.

*******
Two years after, today, minor injury on the same foot, ironically, same spot. Ligament injury again. This time i didn't bother to wait for miracle but immediately seek an advice from doctor to hasten the recovery process.
To my relief i was told that it wasn't anything serious and the pain is normal. (Because at least i'm able to stand). Just need to rest for at least 2 weeks, walk less and take extra care of it because i was hurting the same injured spot (old injured ligaments) so it might take a while than normal to recover again.

Be extra alert when you have any minor sprains.
Advices from doctor : What should we do when we have an ankle injury?

  1. Ice the area to limit the swelling and the coldness can temporary replace the pain you feel after the injury. (My own opinion lol)
  2. Use bandage to cover your injured area to compress that specific part.
  3. Lift or elevate your leg.( blood flow)
  4. Take MC and rest.

[Caption] A torturing night. Sprained my ankle pretty badly and I can barely walk since morning hobbling around. Dad came home and about to sleep as I told my mom that I needed to see a doctor tomorrow, he rose from the bed and came straight to my room holding a bottle of Chinese medicine and kinda forced me to surrender. He spent about one hour to massage with all kind of funny methods (I was basically screaming for an hour he wasn't generous at all with the strength ) kept saying : bear with it. As it finally ended, #thankgod, I almost burst into tears, not because of the intense pain I felt (damn this is unbearable) but the warmth I felt deep down. Thanks daddy. Though I kept cursing throughout the whole session blaming you lol.I have the best dad ever!
