The afterthought - Jerry Springer Show

I've been rewatching the Jerry Springer Show lately and the final words he had to say on this particular episode is hitting the nail on my head and that's the best i can sum up by listening to it. It may not be exactly with what he was saying but at least there's 95% of similarity.

You know most of us have been there one time in our lives, perhaps in high school (college in my case), a failed relationship for whatever reasons and sometimes after the breakup there's a remorse.
Maybe it wasn't so bad after all and you're lonely and suddenly forget what you didn't like about you former lover, your ex, you only remember the good times and you want him or her back and you will do anything to make that happen.
But now there's the risk,
You are likely to be hurt because one relationship only works when both parties still sharing the same romance with equal intensity and saying "ill do anything to get you back" wont do it if the person you want back doesn't have the same feeling.

There's another risk as well.
You make your lover back but something will be missing.
That's because the reality of  the reunited relationship wont match the memory of the old one,
you see after you broke up perhaps you will feel lonely and you suddenly miss the good times and, in that circumstances, you conveniently forget the bad one. Often time you forget the reason you broke up in the first place.

The point being, maybe a relationship can be united but before you say i'd do anything to get you back
One thing, remember what it was really like when you were together with him or her.

-Round of applause-
